Rory Baechler

Rory Baechler is a Toronto-based Filipino-Canadian actor and fourth-year Theatre student in the Acting and Performance program at York University. She’s been performing since the age of nine, when she discovered that her stutter disappeared on stage, sparking a lifelong love of acting. Rory’s mixed heritage and dynamic background fuel her passion for storytelling that celebrates identity, resilience, and human connection. Outside of acting, she brings her athletic, competitive spirit into every performance, striving to push creative boundaries and inspire audiences through honest and engaging work.

Paul BraunsteinLaboratory Assistant #2: Paul Braunstein

Paul has worked extensively in dramatic and comedic feature films and television series. His recent credits include guest star roles on the new season of Hudson & Rex, Ruby & The Well, and Shelved (as Bryce), along with Motorheads (as Mr. Ruby). He’s also had recurring roles on Slasher, Reacher, Baroness von Sketch Show, Burden of Truth, and Murdoch Mysteries. Paul starred as the lead in the feature film Super Dicks, as “Ryan” in the Serendipity feature film Jigsaw, and played a major supporting role opposite Donald Sutherland in the feature American Hangman. Additional recurring roles include SyFy’s Haven, HBO’s Less Than Kind, and Family Channel’s Really Me, along with guest star roles on CW’s Reign, Netflix’s Black Mirror, FX’s Fargo, Global’s Private Eyes, and USA’s Suits. Paul has many major Canadian theatre credits, along with several animated series.

Laboratory Assistant #3: Jadyn Nasato

Jadyn graduated from the Acting Conservatory in 2022 and has been grateful to explore a range of stories on both stage and screen since. She appeared as Maria in Billy and The Dreamerz at the Toronto Fringe Festival, and as Hermia in Canadian Stage’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (dir. Jamie Robinson) as part of Dream in High Park. Her film work includes Desync (dir. Minerva Navasca), which premiered at the 2023 Reelworld Film Festival and is now streaming on CBC Gem. Her performance in the film earned her the Best Lead Performance Award at the 2024 FascinAsian Film Festival. Jadyn then played Cara in Studio 180’s production of Four Minutes Twelve Seconds (dir. Mark McGrinder) at Tarragon Theatre, and was recognized with a 2024 Toronto Theatre Critics Award for Best Supporting Performance. 

DJ Sulk Hogan

Sulk Hogan is the DJ alter-ego of Toronto music scene mainstay, Zoe Smith. Since 2020, they have been sharing their love of music across all genres with people around the world, from Zoom parties during COVID knockdowns to sold out events in lofts & warehouses. They are part of the @notabbq collective, who plan & host highly curated music experiences across multiple genres and artistic mediums.

Caterer: Teresa Patterson, the Sunny Baking Company

Teresa is a chef, pastry chef, and organic vegetable farmer with over a decade of experience in high-end kitchens and seasonal work on farms. She brings together skill, seasonality, and a deep respect for the ingredients she works with. Through her own business, Teresa partners directly with local farmers to create food that’s thoughtful, nourishing, and full of character—from organic granola to private dinners and bespoke chef services. Her cooking is rooted in connection: to the land, to the people who grow our food, and to the quiet joy that comes from sharing something beautiful and real.
