I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve won the 2017 K.M. Hunter Award for Literature! This is an incredible honour—one which I’m thoroughly savouring…. The K.M. Hunter Foundation states: “Imagination, originality and the determination to achieve are taken into consideration. The concern is not so much to pick future stars as to reward and encourage people who we believe will go on to do interesting work.”
Saturday, October 21: Stratford Writers Festival, Stratford, Ontario. I’ll participate in two events: The Perfect Pairing: Combining Art and Literature, 11:30am-12:30pm, and My Life: Memoirs as told by Grief, 1:30-2:30pm.
October 22, 1:30pm: Open Sesame Gallery, Kitchener-Waterloo. The evening will include a reading from Deep Salt Water, a conversation with collage artist Catherine Mellinger, and an exhibition of Catherine’s collages. 220 King Street West, Kitchener, Ontario.
